Hi, I'm Kim. First and foremost I am a mother. Fiercely passionate about child protection and safeguarding. I hold a wealth of qualifications and experience in safeguarding children and vulnerable people. A graduate of Criminology and Social Policy, I am currently studying as a post graduate, in Applied Criminal Justice and Criminology.
High functioning neuro diversity; ADHD and ASD, has been a big part of my life; having lived with it almost as long as I have been alive, it has helped me to develop a quality, allowing me to spot magic amongst chaos.
My special interest include; child sex abuse, exploitation, and harmful sexual behaviour, child offenders and crimes against children. Being proactive in the additional needs community, I am not afraid of hard work and I am always ready to ask the questions others will not.
Hi my name is Lucia, I am married and mum of 2 and run an Accountancy business. I am also a qualified NLP coach and have a special interest in a positive mindset and self belief. I have joined the team as I believe in the importance of making this world a better place for our children, for now and in the future. I believe there are many areas within the welfare system and the education system that needs addressing including safeguarding and early diagnosis.
Hi my name is Adele and I'm 38 from South Wales. I am a hard-working mum of one and for 18 years I have worked in the disability sector. I worked 10 years with adults and the last 8 years with children. I have work residential, supported living, community care, respite, day services and in schools. I am currently in university studying psychology and child psychology. I am delighted to be a part of this team and will be working hard with them to safeguard our children's future.
I am Jennifer Barnfield a former British, Welsh & Scottish Ice Dance Champion and an International Silver medallist. As Founder of The PEPP Method, a positive thinking method, I am qualified as a CBT therapist, life coach and in positive psychology. I have a passion for positive mindsets and communication in families and have worked with education in training children to have confidence, self belief and determination. I am a public speaker having spoken across the UK, and recently in worked in Saudi Arabia for the Royal Family as part of Middle East and African Entertainment Event. With my passion for positive family dynamics, communication and relationships.
My time is devoted to helping others in need and spending quality time with my wife and son, we love outdoor, fun, activities. I became a County Councillor in 2008 serving the people of Cymmer Ward. I became a member of the Labour Party at the age of fifteen before becoming an Independent Councillor in 2018 and is grateful for the support I have received from a number of his fellow Ward Councillors, who I count as his friends as well as colleagues. I very much values the many friendships I have made within my Ward and across the County Borough through various meetings and committees over time. I became Deputy Mayor of Neath Port Talbot in 2017 and Mayor in 2019 – A position I currently still hold.
Hello, My name is Rachel Evans. I am now a full time mum of two, however my background is in retail management.
Being a great mum and friend to my children is my greatest life achievement.
I feel passionately that every child should have a powerful voice to support them, a loving heart to care for them, a champion to cheer them on and keep them on the right track.
Our children deserve a childhood, let kids be kids.

My name is Alun Williams and I currently work in the Senedd as a Political Advisor and Community Caseworket. I have a Military background of over twenty five years. I am passionate about people in the community and want to ensure that their voice is always heard. We must improve democracy in Wales and I am pleased to represent young people and children as part of this committee.
