Kimberley Isherwood

Chair Person

Hello, I'm Kim. Primarily, I am a mother with a strong dedication to child protection and safeguarding. I have extensive qualifications and experience in safeguarding children and vulnerable individuals. I hold a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Criminology and Social Policy, a Master of Arts (MA) in Applied Criminal Justice and Criminology, and I am a fully accredited Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE) teacher trainer. Recently, I also became a Rockpool facilitator in PAACE (Positive and Adverse Childhood Experiences). I use these qualifications to develop and implement a preventative approach to safeguarding programs.

High-functioning neurodiversity, including ADHD and ASD, has significantly influenced my life. Having lived with it for nearly as long as I can remember, it has equipped me with the ability to find magic amidst chaos. My special interests encompass child sex abuse, institutional child sex abuse, exploitation, harmful sexual behaviour, child offenders, and crimes against children. Actively engaged in the additional needs community, I am not deterred by hard work and am always prepared to ask the questions others shy away from.
